Good Friday

Hooked up with Hef the other day and had some fast slides in messy and grey-skied surf on his solid balsa fish. Steered through a snowstorm on the way back home, but by the time I came down the bend to the next stretch it seemed like driving into a different day—sheet-calm and sunny with sketchbook lines sweeping in from the Strait. Didn't have anywhere to be, so I climbed back into the suit and had a second surf that was pretty damn fun until the tide got too low. Sat out there between sets thinking that Good Friday was deserving of its name.

Thanks be, eh, for this coast and all its unexpected permutations.

Today's music is "Society" by Ed Vedder.

Glad to know you're doing well dude! I am loving the "Into the Wild" soundtrack and "Society" is definitely one of my favourite cuts. Keep it real...
