Summer Shelf

Things have calmed down after a few disorienting months, and I've had some much-appreciated time to sit around on the deck and get into some summer reading. Here are five books I've been really digging lately; click on the titles to check them out or, better yet, place 'em on your library hold list.

Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, Jonathan Safran Foer

A Crack in the Edge of the World
, Simon Winchester

Cloudstreet, Tim Winton

Worldchanging: A User's Guide for the 21st Century, Alex Steffen

Dora Lives, Drew Kampion and C.R. Stecyk

Tonight's music is "You Got Yr Cherry Bomb" by Spoon.
