I should've posted this a while ago, but I had a short story in the July '07 issue of Transworld Surf that was illustrated by the deeply talented Jeff Petersen. He's an artist from San Francisco whose work has been gracing the pages of Transworld, the Surfer's Journal and Surfer's Path for quite a few years now. Jeff's work is cool stuff indeed, so spend a few minutes browsing through his site. The piece above is "Farmer" from 2001, oil on wood, 18" x 24".
